The BALI trip
Day 01 - 26 Sep 05 / Monday
Early in the morning, i met binghui @ the bus stop near our hse and left for raine's hse. Waited for a while and her mum send the 3 of us to the airport at 8am. i din really haf any sleep the previous nite. eh.. probably an hr or so. When we're @ the airport, raine told us that 'Polar Bear' is not going Bali with us because she's too fat. haha.. like makin announcement lidat. anyway.we went to get something to eat b4 taking our flight. But we won't forget to do something. And that is to take photo @ the airport before we left. melissa nearly cried when she was abt to go in. haha.. her bf sent her to the airport. *oOooorrwwww..
We took a plane to Jarkata first and den to BALi-Kuta. reach there ard 4 plus. every1 is tired. after we reach kuta, we took a coach to our final destination - MONCOL. every1 fall aslp on the coach. tiring!!!! it's a 3 hrs bus ride to moncol. we drop by @ a supermarket to do our groceries. after that we continue our journey. After abt 1 hr bus ride, we dropped by some resort-looking-resta for our dinner. had those indo' nasi lemak and banana split. the scenary is veri beautiful. it's something tt you'll nv get to see in sg. After that we continue another 2 hr of ride to moncol. the road is so dark but still the coach went soooooo fast!!! it's realli fast.. and imagine the pathway is sooo small and there's sooo many sharp turns. After that we change into small van to go into the village. Anyway, reach there @ 9pm odd. realli veri tired. we got to out "cosy" house unpack stuff and sleep! SELAMAT MALAM!
Day 02 - 27 Sep 05 / Tuesday
SELAMAT PAGI - Good morning! haha.. we woke up early. had fried bee hoon for lunch. Raine cooked de!!! she soo pro. Mery thinks that there's too many people crowded in the small "kitchen" therefore onli mi and raine together with another 2 person 'll be incharge of cooking. hai.. i hate cookin but.. no choice. Dinner we had corn beef with corn! yum! porridge, tofu, cabbage. The toilet is very dirty. got cockroaches aso. dun dare to bath. in the end, me n mel bath together! haha.. the toilet choke aso. damn. mel n i tried to clear 1 and the other 1 joel and mery clear.
Day 03 - 28 Sep 05 / Wednesday
had porrideg with sardine for lunch for today. we tried cooking rice for dinner today. and in the end.. not enuff rice~ so.. no choice, we had left over porridge for dinner with curry. meli cooked the curry chicken.. it's veri nice!!!! went construction in the afternoon. done some carrying of bricks up n down the slope.. oh my god!! it's so heavy!!! haha.. sweat a lot. den we went to their community centre to get so POKARI SWEAT!! it's their so called "100 plus" anyway, after we had our dinner, we went to do the washing of dishes.. and damn it. there's so much things to wash, it's soooo tired.. i sat down there and wash for 1.5 hrs. it's realli veri tiring. and i started to be veri grouchy. damn. mel and raine wash the whole kitchen. haha.. the rest of the gers were like playing games with each other. it's like.. we are not obligated to wash their usage of plates fork cups and etc for them. furthermore as a student leader it's HER role to help out. she din pay $300 and she can still play.it's fustration!!! after that we had a group discussion. we were all straightforward during the discussion. in the end, we choose to pair up and do the chores. After that we went with "MR THE ROCK" to the top of the mountain to look @ stars. omg!!! it's so beautiful. we even learn how to see orion. =P MR THE ROCK played guitar dere.so.. imagine lying on the grass.. and listening to the guitar and looking @ the sky fulls of star... it's realli veri nice. balek kampong... went to the guys' bunk to drink. i had 5 tequila shots. raine had 8. and she's dRUNK! omg.. when she's drunk rite. she's sooooo gentle and she kept luffing to herslf.. BH hit her with a lemon and lie to her that its' dropped from the ceiling. haha.. make the group of us luff tilll bth. Jia hui ar jia hui... she puke in the end.. haha.. pluck big joels' leg hair aso... AT LAST 2am.. time to sleep!!!! selamat malam!
Day 04 - 29 Sep 05 / Thursday
Tis day. we woke up and went construction. we were so slack during construction. omg... but we actually mix the cement .haha.. had fun dere. mery cooked noodle soup for us.. yummmie.. Auntie mery is soooo good! haha.. after that we went to wash our clothes.. omg!!! imagine catherine sitting down n wash her own clothes.. it's atrocious rite?? haha. i know lar.. but i realli learn how to be independent dere le. wash wash wash den make dinner. raine cooked chicken rice. i cooked brocoli with carrots. haha. den bh cooked steam egg.. haha.. we're brillianT!!! we invent a new "sports"- KILL HOUSEFLY. haha... we kill housefly with slippers.. and we challenge one another... and at alll cost.. at nite, BIG JOEL keep eating my kimchi noodles.. Anyway.. today nothing much happen.
Day 05 - 30 Sep 05 / Friday
went construction the whole day. so Auntie Mery is in charge of cooking lunch and dinner. Finally the construction gonna finish soon.. had fried mee + sardine soup[tis is my 1st time drink tis] for lunch and as for dinner, we had side dishes onli beacuse the rice is UNCOOKED again. but raine cooked the cabbage + flour den deep fried.. it's realli veri nice!!!!! yummmmyy..
TEMPLE!!! Little D nv go because she injured her ankle. raine and JL aso nv go cause "red day".went to the hindu temple. or they called it 'Pu-ra' the ceremony is so special. haha.. "Ohhmmmmmmmmm" hahaaa... we gers kneel until knee cap pain n cramp. haha... After that, we went to the top mountain to see stars again!!! tis time.. it's even more beautiful den the previous 1. i feel that i'm covering myself with a blanket full of stars. i saw 3 shooting stars!!!! had chat wif raine BH and Kai...
Day 06 - 01 Oct 05 / Saturday
Din go construction at all today. had fried rice in the afternoon and den spag and marshed potato for dinner. it's nice. melissa is sick. she took a pill and go to rest. after she woke up, she's okie alreadi. den we went to the youth's gathering and played some traditional game. when we're leaving, my phone got 7 missed call from mel's bf. she called back and..... Big NEWS!!! bombin in BALI happened again. omg.. we were all shocked. after that we realise that the bombin is in kuta and jamaran. which is far from moncol!!! we were all so lucky. cause we're going there to stay the nez week. soooo.. imagine us being bombed into pieces?? omg!!! i called my sis to tell her i'm safe. =D fall aslp @ 12.22am..
Day 07 - 02 Oct 05 / Sunday
it's RNR for today!!!!!!! hahaha.. we're going tulamben beach to suntan!!! wooohooo.. we woke up early and prepare ourself and set off to the beach.. to our most unexpected desire, it's a pebble beach. omg!!! anyway.. the guys went diving and we went snorkling. but i'm injured. abravation! damn it.. the rock scratch me.. it's pain!!! washed my wound. and AS usual.. SPRAY OP SITE!!! =( arghhhhh.. they sae i screamed like sadako! haha.. after that we still sun tan a while.. geraldine's figure is soooooo 'woooohoooo' *droolsss* had dinner @ the resta there. had grilled fish wif swt sauce. but it's not nice... den we side order an omelette to eat. mum called and ask if we can returned early. but i told her not to worry.. haha.. we slack the whole day and i'm tanner!
Day 08 - 03 Oct 05 / Monday
i woke up @ 5am cause mel hit mi @ my head continously for 3 times. "OMG.. i'm dying" haha anyway.. she's dreaming lar. so forgivable. btw.. we got news that the directors' board wan us to evacuate by tis fri.. so... we're going back tis friday.. i dunnno y.. at tis very moment, i miss moncol. i feel like stayin back.. i've feelin for this place and the ppl here. right now, the people are playing guitar... it's sooo carefreee and life is so simple... i'm starting to enjoy and treasure every single minutes we haf here.
Day 09 - 04 Oct 05 / Tuesday
we woke up early, it's RnR. we went water rafting today. took a 2.5 hr of bus ride. yawn!!! tired. some more the bus is late!!! omg. soo we started to gamble. and finally the bus came... we board the green bus aka "GAMBLING bus" haha.. joel on techno... eeee. it sucks big time... haha.. and he SMOKE!!!! he sae the bus driver offer him.. haha.. crap.. finally we reached our destination. change and got into our raft. the instructor veri cRAP LOR.. keep on "bom bom" "crocodile,snake" wanna scare us den splash water @ us. haha den stop @ some water fall... KATLEEN almost DROWN!!! but luckily... bh saved her... heng ar.. got life guard..!!! had buffet for lunch. we were all so hungry... haha... as for dinner.. we went to some fish resta and had pepes!!! it's nice... yummm..... and dennn.. we balek kampong again....

Day 10 - 05 Oct 05 / Wednesday
Got up early today aso... went to the waterfall!! it's realli veri nice.. but the water veri cool.. omg.. we try to dip ourself into the water.. DEN!!! got leeches on kat/raine/jl 's legs. omg... haha.. imagine raine screaming ba...well.. after tat mel got herself a turtle photo album@ 60k ropiah.. which is veri ex wor... anyway.. we left for the calm lake @ 5 plus.. the lake is vERI beautiful.... it's not cold. it's calm. and the fog the scenary is realli beautiful... at last for the 1st time i saw moon in BALI!!! we're gg crazy.. haha.. for dinner.. we went to KFC - kings' fried chicken. had lotsa stuff... pasta/fried rice/fried/bbq shrimp/sotong/prawn. haha.. but the portion veri small.. eat till veri veri full!! =P took a 2.5 hrs bus ride hm. reached @ 12pm
Day 11 - 06 Oct 05 / Thursday
tis is the day... time realli flies... with a blink of eyes.. tis is the 2nd last day in sg. we din slp the whole nite.. cause 3am we gonna be awake and go to the dolphin lagoon to see dolphin.. we all drag our heavy bodies into the bus and fall aslp as soon as we hit the seat. it's a 2.5 hrs bus ride.. we slp all the way.. at last we reached! i was kinda pissed when i can't see any dolphin but then they sae we had to take boat out into the sea n see... i was like wooooooo...the sea water is sooo clear that we can see the corals.. and dolphins tt are swimming below us...den the boat man will pointed out to the direction where there's dolphin and the crazy us will go "gaga" over it. hahahaa.. it's realli veri beautifull.. imagine dolphin leapin in n out of the water... at that moment.. i feel like jumpin into the sea and swim with them. on the shore, i bought a dolphin ornament and photo album there for 85k which is abt 17 bucks.. veri eXX!!!! den we took another 4 hrs of bus ride to the shopping area. we stop by at the mid of the mountain.. the weather is soo ccold. luckily.. we bought jacket along. haha.. den we continue our journey.. at the handicraft market.. we bought necklaces bag and stufff... we den left for lunch @ some country club and the food derre is realli veri ex.... raine.. mery. and guys went down to the swimming pools to swim... argh.. forgot to bring swimming cost dere.. after that we went to the hospital because mindy's eye got red red blood clot.. or something... went dinner @ the pepes' place.. tis time.. i had grilled chicken.. feeling a little sick physically and mentally... the night finally came.. it's our last nite here.. the "headman" and villagers came to our farewell ceremony. talk a lot... suddenly we all feel like crying. the sky turn red.. and started raining. the villagers told us tat if it's raining ... it's a good omen. we apologise for our "unable to help much" and thanks them for giving us the best they can.. our staying is nothing without all these people.. they make good hospitality and ives us the best they can provide for us. the headman cried. mery cried too.. we're all sad. after the ceremony.. the villagers and the headman without joel and people... started drinking.. and they were all drunk... OMG... i fall aslp in the guys' pig sty.
Day 12 - 07 Oct 05 / Friday
the day that haf mixed feeling - sadness and happinesss.
sadness - we're leaving moncol.. we're gonna miss ah gus .. headman.. villagers.. and the place.. the bathroom. the every single things here...
happiness - we're going back sg... we can see our family... back to our luxourious life...
we went to the construction site b4 we go to the airport.. saw the toilet facilities and stuff.. we're proud of ourself... it's a special feelin i shld sae... when we looked backk.. we joined in the process of building the toilet. we left... the site is getting smaller n smaller and eventually out of our sight... i still remember the very moment we're our of the village. we reach the airport @ 12 odd... checked in and shop ard @ the duty free. bought kueh lapis as ordered by my mum., bought a polo raph tee for my dad. and i went for a shoulder hand massage... it's shiok! we reach sg @ 5.25pm. went to buy alcohol. and left the airport... raine's mum sent us back.. i reach hm @ 7pm.. mum is happy to see me back safe... she make soup for mi... =D
anyway.. i miss moncol... and i guess... we'll be there again.. in the near future!
